On behalf of the Harper Faculty and Staff, I would like to extend a warm welcome to you! I am waiting with tip-toe anticipation for the 2011/2012 school year. William R. Harper High School is continuing our celebration of 100 years of service to the Englewood Community. Bring Chicago dropouts back to school, one doorstep at a time.
Principal Sanders visited homes of students who had not returned to school in an effort to get them back on track. To get an idea of how many dropouts are in Chicago, imagine for a minute we’re at Soldier Field. The stadium is packed. There are 60,000 people here. That’s how many dropouts this city has.
I’m talking about kids who are between 13 and 21 years old, kids who have no high school diploma and are not in school—they would fill up this stadium. Every seat.
Now, for the first time, Chicago is pledging to go after them.

Meeting with Junior Parents
Harper High School staff would like to meet with all junior parents about ACT on Thursday February 2ND at 5:30pm till 6:00pm in the mellin room.
